چکیده

Humans are the most crucial host of Salmonella Typhi as it has limited ability to reproduce outside human body. infections caused Typhoid fever which can be prevented with vaccines. This study aims develop an effective typhoid oral vaccine using a liposomal delivery system. Several studies showed that immunization AdhO36 protein from orally provides significant protection in inhibiting mice intestine. β-Glucan is potent immunostimulant for macrophages activations. Meanwhile, method used produce Liposome formulations was thin-film hydration. The products had good characteristics based on their particle size. size results met requirement optimum intestinal absorption 399.220 + 28.095 nm Liposome+AdhO36 and 383.360 8.594 Liposome+β-glucan. Based zeta potential measurement, electrical charges three were positive, meaning liposome cationic because DDAB (Dimethyl Dioctadecyl Ammonium Bromide) component. positive charge will facilitate internalization antigen immunity cells.

Characterization and evaluation of β-glucan formulations as injectable implants for protein and peptide delivery.

CONTEXT Injectable implants are biodegradable, syringeable formulations that are injected as liquids, but form a gel inside the body due to a change in pH, ions or temperature. OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of polymer concentration, pH, ions and temperature on the gel formation of β-glucan, a natural cell-wall polysaccharide derived from barley, with particular emphasis on two-phase sys...

Duality of β-glucan microparticles: antigen carrier and immunostimulants

Designing efficient recombinant mucosal vaccines against enteric diseases is still a major challenge. Mucosal delivery of recombinant vaccines requires encapsulation in potent immunostimulatory particles to induce an efficient immune response. This paper evaluates the capacity of β-glucan microparticles (GPs) as antigen vehicles and characterizes their immune-stimulatory effects. The relevant i...

Liposomal and Non-Liposomal Formulations of Vitamin C: Comparison of the Antihypertensive and Vascular Modifying Activity in Renovascular Hypertensive Rats

Background: Liposomes constitute a promising drug delivery vehicle, and are believed to improve drugs’ effectiveness. This study was aimed to compare antihypertensive and vascular modifying activities of liposomal and non-liposomal forms of ascorbic acid. Methods: Forty-nine male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into seven groups (n=7): A sham vehicle-receiving (Sham-veh), hypert...

Liposomal vaccine formulations as prophylactic agents: design considerations for modern vaccines

Vaccinology is one of the most important cornerstones in modern medicine, providing better quality of life. The human immune system is composed of innate and adaptive immune processes that interplay when infection occurs. Innate immunity relies on pathogen-associated molecular patterns which are recognized by pathogen recognition receptors localized in antigen presenting cells. After antigen pr...

Determination of SPF and Moisturizing Effects of Liposomal and Conventional Formulations of Octyl Methoxycinnamte as a Sunscreen

Objective To determine and compare the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and moisturizing effects of the liposomal and conventional lotion formulations containing octyl methoxycinnamte (OMC) as a sunscreen by in vivo methods. Materials and Methods The multilamellar liposomes (MLVs) containing OMC were prepared by fusion method and o/w emulsion was prepared as FDA standard sunscreen method. The SPF...
